Federal Government has declared schools resumption day and date (See Dates)

The federal Government has said schools who are running in international curriculum, are going to be allowed to write down their third term exams online.

This was confirmed by the minister of state of education, Emeka Nwajiuba, while speaking on Monday during the daily briefing of the presidential task force on Covid19.

According to Nwajiuba, this had become necessary, as there have been private schools lincenced to run foreign curriculum, especially for youngsters of expatriates and diplomats.

"Private schools that run international curriculum are liberal to conduct their third term examinations online. There are private schools lincenced to run foreign curriculum essentially for youngsters of expatriates and diplomats.

"If such schools are ready to host online classes for the curriculum they operate and that they prefer to use the amount to hide their syllabus, it's permitted, " the minister said.

Governor Seyi Makinde, the Oyo State governor has further eased restriction that had earlier been implemented in Oyo state to combat the spread of the coronavirus disease.

The oyo state covid19 task force, chaired by the governor, announced on mony, June 25, 2020 that critical classes for primary six, js3 and ss3 students can resume on Saints Peter and Paul .

The schools are directed to watch covid19 protocols, and make sure that stations for laundry of hands are provided for college kids .

All students also are required to compulsorily wear face masks, another safety measures to combat the spread of the disease.

The resumption consistent with the govt , is to make sure that students are well prepared for the general public examinations before them.

Seyi Makinde also order all civil sery to resume duties. He approved that the new curfew within the state would now run from 10pm to 4am.

He also asked religious centers and Government workers to resume back to their duties with modalities.

"Decisions reached include the resumption of classes for primary six, jss3 and ss3 students from Monday, june29, resumption of labor by all category of workers at the state Secretariat from June 22; opening from mosques and churches, which are to work at 25percenr capacity; and therefore the decision to limit public gathering to less than 25persons."

"The state Secretariat, which was earlier shut on march 26 as a results of the covid19 pandemic, and latter reopened to staff on grade level 13 and above from Monday April 27, would now be hospitable all other staffers from Monday June 22."

"The school are to watch the covid19 protocols as released by the taskforce, make sure that stations for laundry of hands are provided altogether schools, while all students are to compulsorily wear face masks."

"Schools are to supply handwash points with the support of their parents/teachers Association PTA," he said.
